Veronica L. White Jenkins is a native of Ferriday, Louisiana. Born to the late Rev. Dr. A.T. & Leola White, she was raised in a loving and nurturing family, the fifth child of seven siblings. She has always loved reading and writing from an early age spending hours in her dad’s study gleaning from his countless books.
While attending Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana Veronica met and married her sweetheart, Minister Ernest Jenkins, Jr. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology with a minor in English. They have two sons, Pastor Orante O. Jenkins of Tucson Arizona, and Minister Corey D. Jenkins of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Veronica and her husband reside in Baton Rouge.
Veronica loves people. Some of the areas she currently works in are; COVE Evangelistic Outreach Ministries which her husband is founder, active supporter of her church’s HIV/AIDS awareness programs, praise and worship leader, youth mentor and advocate, Christian counselor, and Vice Chairman of her ministry’s women support group (Women of Substance).
Veronica and her husband both love physical activities – routinely walking miles around their neighborhood (weather permitting). Understanding God’s plan for the whole person – spiritual, mental, and physical, there was a leading to do something on a more consistent basis. Leading very busy lives and busy schedules made it very difficult to visit and work out at health clubs. Seeing his wife’s frustration Minister Jenkins suggested she develop her own workout plan at home. With his help and lots of prayer and encouragement, K.I.S. (Keep It Simple) Workout Plan was birthed. Veronica is currently on other publications that will be coming in the near future.
